Entry Requirements

• For students who are working in Station 7 & 8 of the SwimAmerica Lessons platform
• Swim 50 yards Freestyle, 25 yards Backstroke, and tread water for one minute. 

Group Goals

• Advance through Station 8 of the SwimAmerica Swim Lessons platform.
• Learn Freestyle flip turns. 
• Develop greater endurance and swim 100 yards Freestyle with flip turns and 50 yards Backstroke. (An open turn is permited for Backstroke). 
• Learn how to swim legal Breaststroke and Butterfly. 
• Swim 25 yards Butterfly and 25 yards Breaststroke. 

Entry Requirements

• For students who are working in Station 10 of the SwimAmerica lessons platform
• Swim 100 yards Freestyle, 50 yards Backstroke, and 25 yards Butterfly and Breaststroke
• Perform Freestyle flips turns 

Group Goals

• Learn correct turn technique for IM transition turns. 
• Swim 300 yards Freestyle with flip turns
• Swim 100 yards Backstroke with flip turns.
• Swim 100 yards of IM.

Goals of swimmers who practice with the Gold 1 practice group 

• Compete at IASI Regionals
• Qualify and compete at IASI Championships in the 10 & U age group
• Advance to the Waukee Waves' Silver 2 practice group

Entry Requirements 

• Ages 8 & older. 
• Students who have advanced beyond Station 10 of the SwimAmerica lessons platform.
• Students must be able to swim a 100 yards IM, 100 yards Backstroke, and 300 yards Freestyle with  legal turns,
• Students should also be proficient with both front and back starts..
• Advancement to this group is also at the head coach's discretion.

Goals of swimmers who practice with the Silver 2 practice group 

• Qualify and compete at IASI Championships in the 10 & U or 11-12 age groups
• Qualify and Compete at Midwest All Stars and the Central Zone Age Group meets
• Advance to the Waukee Waves' Gold 1 practice group

Entry Requirements

• Ages 9 & Older.
• Swimmers must have achieved multiple 10 & Under B times. 
• Advancement to this group is also at the head coach's discretion.

Goals of swimmers who practice with the Gold 1 practice group 

• Qualify and compete at IASI Championships in the 11-12 or 13-14 age groups
• Qualify and compete at Midwest All Stars and the Central Zone Age Group meets
• Advancing to the Waukee Waves' Gold 2 practice group

Entry Requirements

• Ages 11 and older.
• Swimmers must have achieved multiple 10 & Under Q times. 
• Advancement to this group is also at the head coach's discretion.

Goals of swimmers who practice with the Gold 2 practice group 

• Qualify and compete at IASI Championships in the 13-14 and Senior age groups
• Qualify and compete at Midwest All Stars and the Central Zone Age Group meets
• Advance to the Waukee Waves' Senior practice group
• Swim at the varsity level with their High School teams

Entry Requirements

• Ages 13 and Older. 
• Swimmers must have achieved multiple  IASI 11-12 Q times.
• Advancement to this group is also at the head coach's discretion.

Goals of swimmers who practice with the Senior practice group

• Qualifying and competing at Sectionals
• Qualifying and competing at USA. Swimming Junior Nationals
• Qualifying for Olympic Trials
• Qualifying and scoring at the Iowa High School state meet
• Swimming in college

Entry Requirements

• High school students who have achieved 13-14 Q times
• Students who are ages 13 or 14 who have achieve Sectional qualifying times.
• Advancement to this group is also at the head coach's discretion.
